Peng was born in Beijing, China and currently living in Tokyo Japan
In 2013 December, he received his master degree in Jazz bass performance from Queens College. New York City.While studied in New York he met his mentor the legendary Ron Carter, as well as other great masters: Barry Harris, Larry Grenadier, Michael Mossman, David Berkman, Antonio Hart, Johannes Weidenmulleller, Boris Kazlov, Eric Revis, David Wong, Marco Panascia, Kiyoshi Kitagawa, Joe Senders, Kendrick Scott, among others.
In June 2010 he graduated with a bachelor degree in Jazz bass performance and teaching, from Prince Claus Conservatorium Groningen, the Netherlands. He studied under Paul Berner, Ralph Peterson Jr. Alex Sipiagin, Don Braden, Joris Teepe, David Berkman, Mark Gross, and Freddie Bryant. He developed his knowledge and experiences with the masters. He also had the opportunity to study with Hein Van De Geyn (Chet Baker band) in Rotterdam.
Peng Ji has performed with James Moody, Gorge Cables, Harold Mabern, Javon Jackson, Joe Farnsworth, Antonio Hart, Vincent Herring, Eric Alexander, Jimmy Bruno, Spike Wilner, Nicolas Bearde, Ana Caram, Jimmy Bruno, Paulette McWilliams, Nancy Harms, Ted Roseenthal, Ed Jackson, Nat Adderley Jr. Freddie Bryant, Mark Gross, Osaka Masahiko, Naya Yoshihiko, Ota Ken, Hakuei Kim and amount others.

National Theater of Performing Arts(NPA):
September 2018, produced and Leading “Golden Age” jazz big band to performed at The National Center of the Performing Arts
May 2017, he has produced and performed a jazz concert at The National Center of the Performing Arts in Beijing for 2300 audience. the band was featuring Vincent Herring, Nicolas Bearde and Paulette McWilliams.
In April 2016 he has performed as piano duo with “Luo Ning “in The National Center For the Performing Arts in Beijing.

紀 鵬（Ji Peng) 中国北京出身。北京中央音楽学院にてクラシックのコントラバスを学んだのちオランダ、フローニンゲン音楽院ジャズ科ベース専攻及び教育課程を卒業後、アメリカに渡りニューヨーク市クイーンズカレッジの修士課程を修了。これまでに、Ron Caterをはじめ、Larry Grenadier、David Wong、Boris Kazlov、 Johannes Weidenmulleller、Paul Berner、Joris Teepe、Joe Senders、Marco Panascia、Eric Revis、Hein van De Geyn、北川潔の各氏にベースを、Michael Mossman、David Berkman、Antonio Hart、Alex Sipiagin、Don Braden、Kendrick Scott、Mark Gross、Freddie Bryant、Ralph Petersonの各氏にジャズ理論を学んだ。
北京のブルーノート、東岸など有名ジャズクラブをはじめ、中国国家大劇院、人民大会堂など中国国内の主要なコンサートホールやジャズクラブに加え、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、日本でも数多くのツアーや演奏活動を行っている。これまでにJames Moody、 George Cables、 Harold Mabern, 、Joe Farnsworth、Vincent Herring、Eric Alexander、Antonio Hart、 Nicolas Bearde、 Paulette McWilliams、 Vince Chrico、 Ted Roseenthal, Ed Jackson, Owen Hart Jr., Steve Altenberg, Paul Berner, Peter Beets,Rob van Pavel, Fay Claassen、 Ralph Peterson Jr.、 David Berkman、 Alex Sipiagin、 Don Braden、Freddie Bryant、 Mark Gross、罗宁、古賀泉、刘玥、大坂 昌彦、太田 剑、Hakuei Kimの各氏など、数多くの世界的ミュージシャンとの共演を果たしている。
特に2008年の北京オリンピックで演奏した罗宁トリオのベーシストとして、上海ジャズフェスティバル、北京ジャズフェスティバルをはじめ、新疆ジャズフェスティバル、西安ジャズフェスティバル、国際ユースアートジャズフェスティバル、クロアチアのプーラ・ジャズフェスティバルなど、数多くの世界的ジャズフェスティバルから招待を受けて演奏している。また、CCTVやBTVなどのテレビ局が数多くの公演をテレビ放映しており、またベーシストとしての個人インタビュー取材もCCTVによって放映されている。
近年はプロデューサーとしても数多くの公演を手掛けており、特に2017年に行われた北京の中国国家大劇院の大ホール（2207席）にてグラミー賞受賞の世界的音楽家を招聘してのジャズ公演を手掛け、全席売り切れる満員御礼公演となった。自身もこの公演でベース演奏を担当し好評を博した。
また、2016年にはVincent Herring&Eric Alexanderバンドの中国ツアーのプロデュースを手掛け、自身も公演で演奏を担当した。中国国内の各地を10日で8公演し好評を博した。
北京中央音楽学院での教鞭を経て、現在はニューヨーク市のSI-YO music society foundationのSI-YOアーティストの一員として、また、アメリカに本社を持つ弦楽器の弦メーカーD’AddarioがスポンサーとなってD’Addarioアーティストの一員として活動している。2017年に日本に拠点を移し、演奏や教育活動、プロデュースなどを行っている。

纪鹏，北京出生。现定居于日本东京。并带领“響”爵士乐团活跃在东京的爵士舞台上，乐团由日本著名音乐家大坂 昌彦，太田 剑及 Hakuei Kim组成。
2013年12月获得纽约Queens College的爵士贝斯表演专业的研究生学位
在纽约期间曾跟随传奇的贝斯演奏家Ron Carter学习以及跟随多位世界级爵士演奏家学习。其中包括:Barry Harris, Larry Grenadier, Michael Mossman, Antonio Hart, David Berkman, David Wong, Johannes Weidenmulleller, Boris Kazlov, Eric Revis, Marco Panascia, Kiyoshi Kitagawa, Joe Senders, Kendrick Scott等等。
在此之前2006年赴荷兰学习2010年毕业于荷兰格罗宁根市的“克劳德王子音乐学院“本科学士学位，在Paul Berner的指导下学习并且发展了自己的音乐知识以及演奏技巧。也曾在鹿特丹跟随Hein Van De Geyn学习。在荷兰的大学时期，曾有幸和James Moody, Owen Hart Jr, Steve Altenberg, Paul Berner, 等演出.
